Psychologist
Penny is a Registered Psychologist who is extremely passionate about improving the lives of the children, adolescents and families who she works with. She’s a dedicated clinician who places the upmost importance on creating safe and trusting relationships. She uses a relational, client-centred, strength-based approach to support her clients to foster greater well-being, meaningful relationships and development of skills to overcome life’s challenges.
Penny enjoys working across the life span working with a wide range of difficulties and mental health concerns, including trauma and stress, attachment difficulties, mood disorders and behavioural concerns and more. She loves supporting caregivers to gain confidence and build skills in the endeavour to grow as parents and support their children.
Penny’s passionate about building a relaxed, playful, supportive environment, she aims to be curious and collaborative to support individuals and their families to reach shared goals. She uses a trauma informed client focused approach, drawing from a number of therapeutic frameworks and techniques including, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, and dyadic developmental psychotherapy.
Penny is a trained facilitator of 123 Magic parenting program and the attachment-based Circle of Security program. She values working in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other professionals to get the best services for her clients.
Penny is able to provide services through NDIS, Medicare, third-party and private funding.
