Nest Heath Hub is an organisation that provides occupational therapy to young people.

If your child has trouble with daily tasks, you may want to consider an occupational therapist. We view your child as an individual, and we work closely with your Nest psychologist to make sure they have the best possible experience.

Meet The Team

Rhiannon Pilgrim, our Director, is part of the occupational therapy team. It makes children feel safe and enables them to enjoy their time and learn new skills.

Claire Bathgate, Bronwen Mikallef, and Ally Schmidt make up our occupational therapy team. They work with families and children to support them. By encouraging meaningful engagement, we support enriching the lives of children.

    Ally is passionately committed to supporting children with complex behaviour and their families. These include Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and childhood trauma.

Our Approach

The first time you meet with Nest Health Hub, you will notice the differences. We don't focus on individuals or their problems. Our focus is always on the brain and its evolving needs.

Our occupational therapists use a client-centred assessment approach to support parents understand their child's growth. The occupational therapist will support you in determining what factors are affecting your child's ability to respond to the demands and responsibilities of daily living.

Based on the unique characteristics of your child, an occupational therapist will create an intervention plan. The Nest Health Hub team is closely connected to your child's Nest Psychologist. This ensures that your child receives a comprehensive and integrated treatment plan.

We can support you

Nest Health Hub professionals will support you decide if your child would be a good candidate to receive occupational therapy. Occupational therapy is an option for teens and children who have sensory processing complications. It is useful for children who struggle to use fine motor skills or who reach age-appropriate developmental milestones such as walking and crawling.
