Occupational Therapy Hamilton

A team of occupational therapy professionals who are committed to your best interests

Nest Health Hub takes a client-centred approach to occupational therapy for children and teens. Our occupational therapists support children and teens in areas such as anxiety, trauma and behavioural difficulties, sleep problems, sensory processing, and other issues. We aim to make it as easy as possible for young people to live their everyday lives.

These challenges can have a significant impact on a person's mental health. For children and teens already going through changes in their lives, it can be even more challenging to navigate these difficulties. Our occupational therapists are sensitive to the needs of young people and will work with them to offer additional support where needed.

If your child has difficulty doing everyday tasks similar to their peers, an occupational therapist may be a good option. It could be because of one or more reasons, such as mental, emotional, and/or developmental delays or intellectual disabilities. No matter the reason, we treat your child individually and work closely with the Nest psychologist to ensure their well-being.

Our Approach

You'll be able to see the difference between us and other clinics at the Nest Health Hub from your very first session. Each client is treated as an individual, and we ensure that the right therapy or therapies are selected to support them. Instead of focusing on individual behaviours and challenges, we focus on the developing brain needs that underlie behaviour problems.

To gain a better understanding of your child's development (play, schoolwork, self-care), our occupational therapists use a client-centred evaluation process. Your child's ability to meet daily demands and reach their full potential will be chosen by their occupational therapist.

Your occupational therapist will create an intervention plan that reflects your child's unique needs and goals.

The Nest Health Hub works closely with your child’s Nest Psychologist to provide a comprehensive and integrated treatment plan. This holistic approach allows us to better understand your child's progress and development.
